409 on Adams

Located in downtown Scranton, 409 on Adams is the student-run restaurant at the Kiesendahl School of Hospitality at Lackawanna College. Operated and managed by culinary and hospitality students, the restaurant serves as an instructional environment, providing students with real-world experience.

Under the observation of chef instructors, students prepare modern and classical menus, manage inventory, create beverage menus, hire staff and create exceptional guest experiences. Each dining experience promises new, bold cuisines and styles along with a selection of beer, wine and specially crafted cocktail selections to pair with creative menus.

The holiday student-run pop up Misfits, returns to 409 on Adams at Lackawanna College.

All are invited to visit the magic of Misfits, an imaginative holiday pop-up in the heart of Scranton. Inside you’ll find its rooms are full of neon lights, disco balls and a group of misfits who celebrate the holidays in a whole new way. This year Misfits has some new features for guests to enjoy:

• Bumble’s Ballroom: the crown jewel of Misfits. This dazzling tent glitters with tinsel chandeliers, vibrant ornament wreaths, disco balls, and a 12-foot lavender holiday tree that invites guests to celebrate in style. A neon fireplace lounge, frosted photo wall featuring your brand, and cozy booths and high tops set the stage for unforgettable holiday memories.
• Frosted Ski Lodge: Normal gets you nowhere, and neither does a basic bar. Frosted Ski Lodge is a ski-chic oasis built from actual skis, sparkling with lights and buzzing around cozy fire pits. It’s the place where guests kick off their boots, toast the season, and revel in the après vibe.
• Electric Lounge: charged with energy—dark, sultry lighting, a modern electric fireplace casting a mesmerizing glow, and a vibe that pulses with excitement. It’s where the night heats up, conversations spark, and every drink feels like a toast to something unforgettable.
• Bumble the Snow Monster: As guests enter the main dining area, they’ll be greeted by Bumble, the towering Snow Monster and instant fan favorite. Always ready to pose for photos, Bumble creates magical, memorable moments for every guest.
• The Enchanted Ice Passage: As guests step through towering, sparkling holiday trees and into the heart of Misfits, they are instantly transported into a truly immersive, magical world. This dramatic entryway sets the stage for an unforgettable evening, where every detail—from twinkling lights to whimsical décor—draws guests deeper into the enchantment.
• Mistletoe & Mischief Bar: the bold, first impression inside the Misfits dining area—sleek lighting, a showstopping vibrant ornament wall, and expertly crafted cocktails set a lively, flirtatious tone from the moment guests walk in.
  
  

Misfits offers a unique twist on traditional seasonal pop-up bars. Guests are invited to enjoy holiday-themed cocktails and treats, explore the décor, meet new people, and spend time with friends and family.

Misfits is open Wednesday through Saturday 5:00-11:00pm, starting Wednesday, November 12 and ending on Saturday, December 20.

Misfits will not be taking reservations and the space is first come first serve.
