Scranton Community Concerts is now Community Concerts at Lackawanna College, with continued focus on presenting culturally significant programming and expanded educational outreach events. MELLOW THEATER
Lackawanna College has brought life back to one of the architectural and cultural gems of the region by restoring the elegant auditorium on its main campus in downtown Scranton. The theater, which dates to 1923, has a distinguished history. Click here for more info.
THEATER SEATING
The Mellow Theater has a capacity of 623 in the orchestra section and 414 in the balcony for a total capacity of 1,043. The Theater is used year-round by the College and other groups. It is available for rental. Click here for theater specs and contact information.
Endowment of Theater Chair
The former Central High School auditorium is now known as the Mellow Theater. This beautifully restored facility contains over 1000 plush theater chairs. Each chair will bear the inscribed plaque of a donor. The seat can be in honor of a deceased loved one, a teacher, individual or business.
To endow your chair in the Mellow Theater, simply CLICK HERE and complete the printable form. You will receive a letter of confirmation with your seat location and the inscription you have requested.
