CDL Training - with Sage Technical Services

CDL A – TRACTOR TRAILER TRAINING This course prepares students for the Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Commission’s written permit test and drivers road test to attain a commercial drivers license. Instruction in the program includes general knowledge, air brakes, combination vehicles, hazardous materials, tankers and doubles & triples. The course requires 3 weeks of classroom instruction and approximately 3 weeks of yard and road training. Prerequisites include passing a D.O.T. physical and drug screen, fingerprinting for bus candidates and all students must be over 18 years of age and have a clean driving record. Completion of this course and successful completion of the Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Commission’s permit and road test will entitle the student to drive Tractor Trailers and Straight trucks throughout the United States. In order to cross state lines, a student must be 21 years of age.

Retrain America's Marcellus Shale Pre-Employment Training

Retrain America's Marcellus Shale Pre-Employment Training at Lackawanna College is a fast tracked, in-depth orientation program for those looking to begin a career in the Natural Gas Industry.  Utilizing a variety of delivery methods including multi-media presentations, videos, and group activities, the course is two week long, 80 total hours, including Introduction to Natural Gas Drilling, a Roughneck Primer, IADC Rig Pass Certification and Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Certification.
