Former Lackawanna College Baseball Standout Drafted in Major League Baseball Draft

Former Lackawanna College baseball standout Chris Sedon was drafted in the 10th round of the Major League Baseball draft by the Detroit Tigers. Sedon graduated from Lackawanna College in May of 2008 before his transfer to the University of Pittsburgh. While at Lackawanna, he was Region XIX Tournament MVP in his freshman year and named to the Region XIX Division II First-Team during his sophomore year.

In his first year at Pittsburgh, Sedon batted .396 while hitting 22 home runs. The 22 dingers set a new record for home runs at Pitt. His performance earned him a Big East First Team selection and recognition as a Louisville Slugger First Team All American.

Sedon, becomes the first former Falcon player recruited by Head Coach, Chris Pensak to be drafted during the Major League Draft.

Sedon is a resident of Plains, PA.

Chris Davis
Chris is in his second year as bench coach and assists in recruiting. He is the manager of West Scranton Legion Baseball and is a graduate of Keystone College.
Jeff Fanucci
Jeff is in his third year as assistant coach at Lackawanna. He also serves as hitting coach. Jeff is a graduate of Lackawanna College and Marywood University.
